Default Park brake warning

Message on dash comes up " Unable to apply park brake"
I there a procedure I can do to clear this?
Also what can be the cause please.

I've had that and the culprit was maybe a coin or a bottle cap wedged in there

No it's not that but I will keep it in mind. How long did it take you to find the coin?

a little while.. it was a dime so I couldn't really see it st first how the little lever thing g is chrome

I guess it happened when I tried and apply the brake the dime sorta slid into a small opening in the little cup and wedged itself in there and and when the warning came on for me.. couldn't even move the brake lever
I kept trying to wiggle it for a couple days and then I heard it
had to fish it out with a paper clip
