Parking pawl noise?

I had the 30K service on my 2012 XF done a few weeks ago (at 27K miles, 40 months).
I have recently noticed a light "tap" from under the center/rear of the car when I shift into park. The noise does not appear related to the parking brake or moving the transmission to other gears. The 30K service includes flushing the brake lines, but I can't figure a relationship to the brakes.
Anybody noticed this? Normal? Potential problem?
I plan to call the dealer about it soon, but I don't have time right now to take it in (unless it's serious).
Thanks for any comments.
