Parking Sensor/Front Bumper - '13 XFR
So, after getting rear-ended in week 2, I've had a piece of road debris strike one of my front parking sensors and push it into the bumper. I can feel it inside the bumper. It's still working because it beeps horribly when I put the car in reverse and have to manually shut off the sensor.
I spent a few hours over the weekend removing a few dozen bolts attmpting to remove the under-side plastic plate but gave-up and replaced them all.
Has anyone attempted to repair one of these or gotten behind their front bumper? Is this a DIY project or am I in for a bill at Jaguar?
Thanks!

so im assuming the sensor got pushed out of the hole and is hanging somewhere inside the bumper? Instead of taking apart the bumper, maybe you can fish it out with a wire hook and some tape.
if not, im sure you can find a diagram somewhere online that will show you install/uninstall of the bumper. I unfortunately dont have it, but im sure someone here does and will post it

How frustrating - I feel for you!
Others have removed the front bumper and suggest it only takes 15 minutes or so to do it - see the posts towards the bottom of this link. That might give you some hope that you can do it yourself. Good luck!

My suggestion is to go to a ding/dent removal shop that fixes cars before they are returned off a lease. Those guys are resourceful and cheap. They spot painted my front bumper from a scrape for $100. They also touch up rims. Most mobile services have a shop you can go to. Good luck. Andrew
