Well...Some more shots of the cat.
Thought I'd include some shots (eye candy?) for your viewing pleasure. Apologies all around for the need to visit the spa to get the pollen off...you can see from the full dashboard shot who's spending time in the garage this summer...so, she sits outside until the fall.
Full nose on. Some don't like the front plate...some jurisdictions over here require them, some don't. Pennsylvania only requires a rear plate, but the car was bought in New Jersey, which does, so there was a plinth already there...and taking it off would have left holes in the bumper. So, not liking the leaper on this style hood, figured the leaper plate was the next best thing. Think it works ok with the '12 restyling and the other chrome trim. Thinking of going to a blacked out grille and red medalion, but leave the chrome ring around the intake. Haven't decided though, chewing it over. The depth of shine and color work with the chrome nicely, so, going to black may detract from the overall classy effect of the whole presentation. Don't know, guess I can play with photoshop and see. But, I'll say this: they hit it out of the park with the whole visual styling of this car. It does NOT look like every other sedan (saloon) that's coming down the road at you.
Still a little dirty, though, from the pollen overnight...and some bird oopsies. Will visit the wash rack later on the way to work.
Dash shot. Obligatory? And the current garage occupant is why she's outside...
Didn't think I'd like the carbon fibre trim (after getting used to the acres of walnut in the XJ...), but, it really better fits the nature of the car, I think, more than the wood. Matter of personal taste, I guess. They ALL look good, if I'm being honest.
Yeah, I sprang for the Official Overpriced Logo sun screen. But, it does fit exactly and is a lot better quality than the generic from the local parts house. She Who Must Be Obeyed has a generic for her new Jetta, and it just doesn't do the job properly. So...bought the Official accessory for the cat. Also put on mud flaps to keep the crud off the bottom of the sills, too. But, really loving that interior styling. And chrome plated door catches? Wow. It's the little things that make a difference.
Enjoy! I know I am just anticipating driving the cat to work today. When was the last time you got excited about that?

You can get a "half or mini" plate. It fits much better and doesn't cover the lower grille.
They sell a jaguar style but I would order the plain plate and put your leaper from existing plate on it. If you change your grille to black, get the black plate and add the chrome frame and leaper. It would look so much better!
Personally, I'd order the black plain plate, chrome frame and J A G U A R chrome letters on ebay and just have the word. Avoid the dueling cats!!

Since I can tell you wouldn't have intentionally added the front plate, I'll make a suggestion that's much better than the plate you have!

I live in CT and we require a front plate but when I got my XFR dealer suggested throw the 2nd plate in the trunk and come back if you ever wanted it drilled and mounted. About 4 months later I got stopped by police in my town at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning for no front plate and the next day I was at the dealership getting it mounted! I don't need to give them a reason to pull me over but darn.....looks better without the plate!
