So after a bit of to and fro and threatening them with a PayPal dispute they are now sending me a new Canbus decoder. Hopefully that will solve my Chinese problem 😬 just need to find out how to change the apps on the home screen and I'll be happy 😁
Carlos I've noticed in the factory settings there's an option for the standby time when the acc is off. You might want to check what yours is set for. Maybe that's what's causing your battery drain.
So today's project to pass the time is to install my puddle lights😁

I tried that setting you mentioned, but it doesn't really do anything.
To change the apps on the main menu i suggest you use a car launcher app i used "car launcher pro" you can get it for free by googleing, makes your overall interface look so much better and you can add what ever you want, i have custom pids with torque, oil level speed and other stuff a virtual cluster, there a lot that can be done with that , i highly recommend you try it.

So for the guys here with the 7" screen if you, like I, find it difficult to read the writing on apps and navigation, I've found a way to change the screen resolution 😁
Go into the developer settings and scroll down to where you see minimum width (or something similar) and change it from 600 to 400 and you'll be able to clearly see all the writing and symbols clearly 👍
I was going to post some pics but my alternator started to die on the way home from work and my baby is now at the garage😭😭 strangely though I got no "battery not charging" warning in the dash. Which probably wouldn't have made any difference as mine is still in Chinese 😜

This is what I was saying, you loose warning messages, which is something extremely important. It might save you a lot of headaches, that's why I removed mine and went back with OEM system.

Well I thought I'd give it a go and bought the small screen for my XK. Connected everything and no joy. The screen doesn't come on. I swapped the harness from the XK Tesla style screen and everything works as my Tesla set up. The Can bus for your model has additional wires and is a larger connector so I can't use the XF harness. I would have expected it to turn on though. Not sure what I'll do.

When bench testing i just feed the yellow and red wires, with 12 v.

Hi, has anyone had any issues after removing one of these devices? (not the one above, but the more built-in version). I have read a few threads of the in-car sat-nav not working after removing one of these units and no amount of resetting or reinstalling of maps has fixed the issue. Not sure why this would break it, but the issues seem to be the same, with maps disappearing. The Jaguar sat-nav input is clearly compromised in some way by having the new box plugged in and then removed. Supplier seems unhelpful according to at least one forum poster in UK.

Hi Carlos,
this is the link - there are cross refs in the thread to others with the same issue. Common element seems to be the Unique Auto Developments unit having been installed and removed.

So i have been thinking of the idea, to install the unit on the lower part where the buttons are and keep the original system on top, it would be fairly easy to tap into the OEM plug to get power to the android unit.
Then i would just disconnect, the FO cables install the loops and, and route the audio to the android unit.
I would remove the canbus box, and have them OEM system manage those functions, i think it might work, in that case any cheap android unit could be installed.
