Default Radar Detector Help, 12V.

So I'm in the process of hard wiring my V1. I'm placing it right where the dash meets the front windshield, already have that done. I have the wire run to the area in the drivers side footwell and I'm looking for a 12v wire that turns on with the ignition. This is a horrible picture but does anyone know of any of these wires that I can hop onto? I have the V1 kit that makes it super easy to just clamp onto one. I have found a ground point in there so I'm all good on that one. Thanks guys.

I would tap into the Power outlet( Cigar Lighter) fuse in the passenger kick panel so it goes on and off with the ignition.

I would not tap into any of those wires in your pic at all.

I agree with BigCat. Do not cut into those wires, find a terminal, otherwise you are opening yourself up to a world of hurt. Unless, of course, you are an electronics expert, then you can disregard any and all of our sage advice.

I will take a look over on that side tonight, haven't looked over there before, just got the car last week.

I used to be an electronics expert in high school, but no more.

Thanks guys.

Trust me, very simple to tap that fuse I mentioned and your wires are already run over ther to. This is where my V1 Radar is wired to.

Nevermind, you said driver footwell, you need to go to the passenger footwell area

Ok gotcha, no worries. I'm going to finish up tomorrow while my son is taking a nap. Hopefully the cord that came with the kit is long enough to make it to the passenger footwell.

It wll make it as mine did and its the same cord/kit. If you search on here you may even see my posts on how and where I tapped into with pix.
