Question randomly missing a shift from 2nd to 3rd on the paddles?

I thought I may be nuts or not clicking the + upshift o nthe paddle when I see it not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. But now I notice it randomly in my XFR and my other XF S/C. Now I am ready for it when it happens and I double tap it to so I dont hit the rev limiter and miss the shift.

Anyone else notice this?

I only drive using the paddle shifters and have not noticed this phenomenon.
