We bought an 2011 Lincoln MKX for my wife a couple of years ago. In spite of all of the negative press and reviews about the Lincoln/Ford Sync system, including the touch screen, GPS, voice commands, etc., etc. Once we became acquainted with it (never to be mastered, however), we fell in love with it.
That being said, the MKX is no Jaguar! But -- some of those features in the Lincoln Sync systems are wonders to behold. The list is endless, but just a few "likes"; remote start, individual smart keys return the cars system to the smart key user settings, such as settings for heat, a/c, radio, mirrors, seats, steering column, and so forth. The info on the radio, whether satellite, FM, AM, Disc -- gives descriptions of songs, stations, reminders.
You get the idea! Now, would I trade the Jag for the Lincoln? Not on your life. It's just a mental "tick" that keeps popping up once in awhile, as to why Jag doesn't have a bit more of that dreaded technology?
