Bit of an oddball problem here. My rear drivers door won't open no matter what I do.
Unlock the car from the remote and it sounds like the lock is operating but the door won't open, Same with unlocking from the button on the dashboard. Only thing I can think of is the lock has became jammed or something has became disconnected inside the door.

Is there a way to get into the workings of the door while its closed ?
Any suggestions are wellcome as I am stumped at present.

Problem is you need to remove the door card and I don't think you can with the door shut?
This is rare but has happened to others. One guy had to destroy the door card to gain access but you might try to remove what you can and see how far you get?

Greetings, Did you resolve your problem in the end?
I have a 2014 Sportsbrake and the rear driver's door will only open when the car is locked and I just open the rear door using the door handler.
After that if I shut that door I cannot open it again once the car is unlocked.
Not even from inside using the interior release lever.
If I lock the car using the key fob, then I can once again open the door using the door handle but the moment I shut the rear door it will not re-open.
Do you have any ideas or advice at all please?

Without scanning the car with SDD you will need to load the parts cannon! My guess is you need to replace that doors actuator. Now your in a better place than tberry 6686!
At least you can still open the door. It's a real bear if the door won't open and you need inside the door. We have only had a handful of people get stuck like this and it usually require damaging the door card so you can get it off the door shell.

Can you remove the door card so you can replace the lock actuator? If not then dealer time I guess?
