Default Rear wheel bearings

How many bearings are there per side in the rear wheel hubs.

One bearing set per side. Hard to replace, needs a lot of force. 10ton will not do.

Well yes, technically there are two bearings per side, as with any wheel bearing. But they are combined in one bearing set, which can only be replaced as an entire assembly.
Hope that clarifies

ah ok no worries. I couldn't seem to find the entire assembly for sale anywhere. For the rear the only kit available is the bearing itself.

Do you think a good garage mechanic with all the tools and a bearing press/puller should be able to extract the old bearing and put in a new one

Yes, if they have a good press with at least 20tons.

Thanks.. That's brilliant. So helpful. Scary amount of tonnage needed to do the job. 😲
