Default Received an "upgrade" email from Jaguar North America today. What does it mean?

I received an email today telling me:
Our records indicate your 2011 XF is eligible to receive a no-cost service upgrade, which may include: • Computer-control software updates • The latest Jaguar hardware upgrades
I called my local dealer and left a message with service, but am curious as to what this could be.
Anyone else receive this?
Might I get JaguarVoice back?

Modern cars use extensive software and can be upgraded periodically.

A "reflash" is pretty routine "maintenance" these days. Just take advantage of the offer. If you have any personalized settings you may have to reset them.

Be aware that Jaguar is doing this to get you into their showroom for an hour or so.

Don't take your cheque book!

Be careful, if you have an ECU tune, like for example the one installed by ETG (mostly on SC engines only). This dealer software 'upgrade' may reset your ECU software limiters to factory values, and you lose the tune.

Turns out there were no "upgrades" available for my '11. In a closer inspection of the email and corresponding snail mail piece that arrived at my house the same day, this was from Jaguar Marketing and really did not seem specific to my car at all.

It's a good thing I love my car.
