Default Recommended Audio Shops in New York?

The thread in the audio section hasn't been touched in ages, as the poster doesn't post on the forum anymore. I'm looking for a place that can install a small 6-inch subwoofer into the back of the car. I have the base audio, and the highs sound so crisp, the mids sound good...but there is quite a bit of bass missing.

Would a small sub require its own dedicated amp? I'd imagine not, personally. But I'm not good with audio.

Check your trunk next to your battery, there should be a plug for the subwoofer already. All you have to do is purchase one of this 2009 Jaguar XF Subwoofer Speaker | eBay

I have been planing on doing the same, but haven't gotten the chance to. No guarantee, it will work (don't see a reason why not) might have to ask the dealer to flash the system to recognize the sub.

Good info. What kind of flash would be required. What specific directions should I instruct the tech to perform? In NY, a lot of them are idiots.

Also, has anyone else performed this successfully?

I got an OEM sub. Has anyone performed this install yet? Is it really that straightforward?

No one that i know of. I am planning on doing it, just haven't gotten to it. Probably going to wait till my service date to speak to the dealer regarding the reflash of the software.

Let me know how it goes. And let me know which dealer you visit.
