Default Sat Nav default screen

Is there any way to NOT have it default to DC (District Of Columbia) every time I go to Home Screen to search a new destination?

Thanks

Hi there,

This might help. In settings in the Sat Nav you should see a screen that says set search area. It should come up with a map of the entire country and then also has a list of the states so that you can then choose yr state as the default search area.

Update: So I finally dismantled the nav and found the part number LQ6BW558 By sharp, made in Japan. It can be found on eBay, and they are rather cheap. Way better than paying 300 for one on eBay that might also have issues.

Thanks for all the input!
