Default Say what you want but the leaper wins again!! Lol

Well, I had my 2010 XF at my dealer for some work for about a week and and when I went to return the loaner to pick up my baby, it was a fairy busy day! There were quite a few customers shopping the lot. While I waited for them to finish cleaning my car, I was tst driving an F type and when I returned, they had parked my car at the end of the new car line! All the customers spaces were filled.
Here's where it became comical! While the salesman was really trying to get me to consider trading, we noticed one customer after another going to my car and asking about it! They were mesmerized by the leaper and headlights!! Finally, I noticed the service manager quietly move my car around to the side of the building.
When I went in to get the keys and sign for picking up, he said the other salesmen asked him to move it because their customers were asking how to get MY custom S-design leapers because they didn't like the little factory ones they offered!! 9 customers that day inquired about it!!! Lol
Say what you will, but that little leaper still means something to a LOT of people!!
Say what you want but the leaper wins again!! Lol-image.jpg
Here it is sitting at the end of the new car line! Beside an F type!

Sounds like you need to do a forum poll on "who would add this leaper to their XF?" to help you finally come to peace with it since you keep bringing it up.

Actually I don't keep bringing it up. Every time I post a photo of my XF I get smart assed comments about my choice to add the leaper. I was simply relating a story that I thought was interesting how MANY people, here in the states especially, still identify Jaguar by the LEAPER and obviously respond favorably. Actually, there have been many threads started about the leaper on the XF already. Now that would be redundant.

I think it's time to say fair well to this forum. Since it's obvious my threads are becoming boring and in some eyes redundant, I won't be missed and now frees up space for far more important topics.

The Internet is a cruel place, and definitely not for the weak of heart.

Philhef, don't leave because of negativity. Stay because of the positive comments you receive from members that are of a like mindset. Your style isn't for everyone here, but you've done some innovative things that many have had interest in. So keep posting and participating and tune out those who don't agree.

As with anything, the complainers are always more vocal. You'll always need to brush aside those who aren't like minded if their opinions bother you, here or in real life. It's the silly hat rule. You can wear a silly hat, but you shouldn't be offended when others snicker at the silly hat.
I think everyone loves the leaper, it just doesn't seem to sit well positionally on the XF.
The leaper isn't my cup of tea, nor Jaguars, as it never appears on any dealers cars. It obviously appeals to some, including yourself, so why let others opinions affect your enjoyment.
Rock the leaper if you like it. It's not at all like putting a chevy or ford emblem on the car.

Sorry, but IMHO a hood leaper just does not look right on this car.

Have you ever seen those devices that women use for pleasuring themselves, but in particular, the ones that have the extra little finger-like thing by the base for stimulating other areas at the same time?

I dunno why that popped into my head after looking at the leaper on this car.

one of the reasons i stopped buying Jag was the removal of the leaper ! I have adjusted to that and know like the new emblem. I do not like the little 'jaguar' words on the rear trunk/boot symbol.

I like the leaper but the shape of the hood on current jags just isn't conducive to it. Changes to the shape of the hood might make it a more desirable proposition
