I typically put mine in sport mode, traction control completely disabled, and dynamic mode OFF. I'll shift it into first with the paddles as I stage, but let the car do the rest of the shifting.

Here was my winning combo. 1/4 tank of gas, front tires aired up to 50psi for least rolling resistance, rear stock 20 inch tires aired down t0 25 psi cold, any lower and the TPMS light will trigger ( 24 psi). I use DSC Trac, Dynamic on, S mode auto. I set the parking brake soon as I get to the start line with both bulbs lit or deep stage and then just moderately lean on the gas pedal on the second bulb coming down from the tree to cut the best light. With the parking brake set the car wont move until it sees input from the gas pedal. This helps a lot so you do not have to power brake/ brake boost the car which just blows the tires away on green light.
My Youtube videos and time slips are posted here on the forums to prove how effective my methods work and still hold a title for the time being. I know many of you can break my records easy with a lil more seat time and small tricks.

Even with better 60' or bad 60' I think these jags are still locked up as my MPH never ,ever changes from 119 mph. Doesn't matter if its 100+ degrees or 40 degrees out, or if I get good traction or spin a lot. The car is like an auto pilot with some limiters still in place I cant get around by good old ZF trans folks.

These are the settings I use when I want to do a nice launch from a stop light or when I see some competition at a freeway on-ramp stop light.

The other day I picked a fight with a Nissan 350Z and was able to easily beat the thing... I could've probably driven circles around him while he was trying to get up to speed...

Of course, a Nissan GT-R on the other hand would be another story. I've seen a few prowling around town and haven't had the change to do a friendly drag against them. I wouldn't expect to win unless the driver was no good but it would be fun nonetheless to have a good clean race.

Are you manually shifting? If not, how did you get a first gear start?

Nope, just auto S mode. It does the best job.

I gave your method a try last night at club clash, and I think you're right; it definitely hit harder out of the box. Unfortunately, the launch easily overcame my traction and I broke loose every time. I had to pull out to get the axle to stop hopping. As a result, my 60' times were about 2.2. That left me at about a 13.1 at the end of the track. Using my old launch, I didn't break loose so my overall times were better. Looks like it might be time to try and find a set of drag radials. Another member from the forum is on my club clash team, so I'm going to try and see if the 18" rear wheels from his STR will bolt up and clear everything. If at all possible, I'd like to avoid running 20" drag rubber.

We warned. IF the rolling height doesn't match your stock OEM tires then they wont work no matter what. You will see the TRAC light and ABS light flicker and the car wont break 100 mph. Better off just buying some Track Bite or VHT spray and spray the stock tires before a run for some grip. So much cheaper!

Do you have any idea how much of a size difference the car will tolerate? I'd like to stay within 3%, but I know these things can be finnicky.

3% was the rule for the GTR and 997 cars so it should be fine with the Cat to.
