Default Side mirror trim identification assistance

My 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 AWD is missing a lower trim shield on the right side mirror. I have examined several online parts books and searched for the number found on the left side trim piece. Unfortunately, I'm not able to find a clear identification of this trim piece. I'm hoping someone has run across this piece of trim or knows of a more detailed source. I have attached 3 pictures: right side with trim missing, left side and part identification stamp from the left side inside. The trim piece I'm trying to locate can be seen in the yellow oval on the bottom of the mirror assembly. The right side is missing and the left side is attached. Please let me know if you can recognize this trim.

Hi Luke2004xjr, I thought that at first as well, but when I look at images of that part, after searching the part number, it appears to be the trim around the mirror housing. Thank-you for taking a look, appreciated.

Hi prolepsis, I believe you are correct. This is unfortunate that a simple cover makes a $1,000 mirror incomplete. Especially, when you can see the part has been engineered to be replaced with tabs and a snap type edge. Hopefully, I can find a broken mirror with a cover intact or possibly just make a mold and extrude some plastic for a cover. I have the mirror image of the cover from the other side. We will see . . . .

The solution to finding this piece of trim turned out to be buying a complete right-side mirror and carefully prying the cover from the bottom of the mirror assembly. There are 4 plastic tabs used to retain the cover and they come away from the cover rather easily. The tabs are visible once the rubber gasket that surrounds the mirror, where it fastens to the car door shell, is removed. But, the tabs are small so if you execute this operation be careful. Fortunately, I was able to keep the 4 tabs intact and fastened them to the existing mirror of the XF. All is now happy with the right-side mirror.
