It has fantastic brakes and if I am easy on the throttle you can easily get 24-28 MPG. I too looked for the S/C model but they are few and expensive. The 390 HP seem plenty for me. The price you mentioned of $26,999 seems very high. Bone up on your negotiating skills. Walk away if they won’t come down in price.
The only complaint I have is the inaccurate gas gauge that seems prevalent on this year and mode, off by 30%!
Be patient and look for the right car and you will be happy with it for a long time. For the price of a Chevy you can drive a Jaguar XF!

Good luck
Yea that price is a little high, its a premium dealer advertised price so im sure it would come down a bit if I got down there to a do a deal but probably not enough when you factor in the 9% sales tax.. That price is for an XF R with about 70k miles on it.

Definitely going to hold out for the right car though! good advice!

What do you guys think a fair price is to pay for a 2010 S/C with about 65-75k miles?

I got my 2010 XFR for $23,500 with ~75k miles.
This was also in Los Angeles. The place I bought it prices it per NADA/BlueBook and doesn't negotiate. I thought it was pretty fair.

Wow great price. When did you buy it and where? Was that including sales tax?

Advertised price, so out the door was a little more.

I'll send you a PM when I get home.

Well I'm in the same boat here. Primarily was looking at xfr or a face lifted 5.0na however I came across two sweet deals. A 2012 na with 61k for 23k US (only negative is tan interior) and a 2009 super charged with 71k for 21k ( will negotiate to about 18-19 thanks to kbb) should I pull the trigger if all checks out? Would much rather spend 18k over 25k if there's really not much difference in reliability

Wow thats a killer deal on the 2012 from what I can tell.. I like the tan interior the mos. Ill take any interior except black.. I just think the black interior is too bland.

Forgot to mention that the 2012 is a one owner certified (carfax) car.... I can live with the interior just fine, just wondering if I should give the 2009 sc a chance at $4,000 savings

Yea its a tough call.. I want the s/c power but would also like a new car, but the 2010 s/c is probably my limit..

It depends on how much you want that power.

I haven't driven a supercharged one yet so I can't speak, but I'm jumping from a 350z so anything is an upgrade. I suppose I'll make the drive on Friday and give it a spin... Another consideration I have is a 2007 Audi s6 v10 for 19k at 70k miles aswell.... Anyone got their 2 cent son the comparison, or is it just really the urge to own a gallardo sounding 4 door lol

I believe the gear selector was limited to 09s. I think the 10s overall had improved. My water pump was replaced on my 11, but don't know if it affected the 10s. I had my 11 for 4 years and other than the water pump, a creaky steering column (fixed), and a replaced shock the car was solid. It only had 26k or so when I traded. I think the problems are less than on turbocharged bmws.

PS: if you are into power, SC is addictive hence my new f type R. Be careful or you may get hooked.

Guys, just be sure to by an extended warranty or have access to good independent shop for repairs. High mileage cars no matter the brand will be riskier for mechanical breakdowns.

In my opinion the supercharged one is power addictive but in my opinion the 2012 looks better. What you don't want, is to buy one and be thinking about the other every time you drive it.

Oh, and run, don't walk, just run away from that V10 Audi.

What you have to remember (applies to all marques not just Audi or Jag) is that depreciation in maintenance and service doesn't happen. Your $19K Audi could land you a $4K shop bill quite easily and quickly. Once you start adding superchargers and other toys to the build, always worth looking up the cost of an extended warranty...the one I had on my 04 Audi S4 paid for itself twice over before I moved it on. If you think tuning mods are in your future, best get a supercharged model as there's not much wiggle room on a normally aspirated V8. Another reason I have moved over to an XFR. Like I needed a reason ...

Fair enough lol it was a bit of a drive for the Audi anyway.....

I already know I'll love the SC more I was just trying to stay away from driving one in order to keep the NA in competition lol but we all know how it goes after the test drive

I bought my 11 XFR used last year. Wasn't even considering a Jag but after driving it I went with the Jag. Perhaps a little more than a NA version but for the price/performance you can't beat it. Not sure how much you like power/performance but after the eurocharged tune / pulley the car is exactly what I was hoping for. Even stock it was pretty fast but the midrange pull now is substantial. Apart from performance the upgraded sound system is awesome if you have a digital source "don't listen to it on FM". So far couldn't be happier which is a very rare thing when buying a car. If you're not into power so much the NA version should be fine but for a little more coin you get something really special... For piece of mind I would get an extended warranty if possible. Something major can set you back thousands. So far though the car seems really solid.

Thanks DPK.. I really think as a buyer you should try both and then decide what is important to you. When I started looking I knew I wanted a refined interior, great sound system "secondary" and a car that would "haul ***" "primary". The Jag really had the package I was looking for. Everyday it puts a smile on my face.. It's really a fantastic package.
