Default Start/Stop button cratered

I finally received the replacement Start/Stop button after mine completely cracked and needed to be removed. No such part number for replacement at the Dealer due to having to change the entire console out to have a new one. Ridiculous. I was a bit hesitant to purchase something to replace it because most of what I read claimed that the red LED light would not show through the aftermarket ones for sale. I got lucky though and came across jssaab's (Jaguar Forums.com member) Ebay listing. Perfect fit for both - Gear selector also purchased and the LED light does indeed shine through the Start/Stop (now Growler) button.
Very pleased with the new look. Just thought I would share this.

P.S. I removed the entire plastic button top and replaced it with the new one. It is definitely sturdy enough to last a long time. No backing was needed.

Black Growler button and black gear selector overlay.

First, that looks phenomenal - I absolutely love the lighted growler, and ordered one to duplicate.

Second, @Jssaab is a legit awesome vendor - I ordered two gear selector toppers (I have two jags), and he did a third, custom (no text) leaper, for me. The only condition for the custom was I post a pic, but... somebody hasn't mounted them, yet. For reference, here's his storefront: https://www.ebay.com/usr/buybuyforno...p2047675.l2559

Default Looks snazzy

They look really cool. It's nice to hear a story like yours as so many stories out there where it costs a mint to get things sorted. Was it hard to replace the start/stop button and gear changer?

If you are asking me about the difficulty know that I did not replace either. They are just overlaid on to the existing hardware although I did completely remove the start/stop plastic button cover. I have since read where some have been able to remove the actual start/stop button hardware by using fishing line or other tools. My dealer did not tell me that it can be changed out like this. They told me that the actual part replacement was not listed in the parts list and they would have to contact Jaguar in UK to get it. That was three weeks ago and I still have not heard back from them.
