Default straight pipes?

if i replace the cats with a straight pipe will it throw a code and if it will is there a way around it. i wanted to do high flow cats but its lookin pretty pricey lol

Yes there is, but it becomes very loud. Ive done it on my STR

do you think it would be worth it on my xfr or would it be too much drone? and if i did do it how much better would it sound?

I don't think it was worth it IMO. High flow cats would have been a better avenue. The best sound my car had was with the rear mufflers removed (straight piped), as it still had the factory resonator and factory cats. I will admit my car sounds pretty mean, but it is very loud and I get drone sometimes on the highway. If you want to go that route, what you need to do is get anti foulers (available at any auto parts store) to space out the 2nd O2 sensor. That is what I did and I do not get any check engine light.

did you try this ???? Ill be interested in something similar. Im thinking of starting with taking the stock mufflers off and putting straight pipes and seeing how loud it gets. Then maybe putting in an xpipe
