Sunroof... is this normal?
Just picked up a new '13 XFR a few days ago. Noticed something odd today when Zaino-ing the car. The sunroof appears crooked, with the driver's side rear edge of the sunroof sitting slightly below the passenger's side (See pictures). Is this normal? I tried searching, and saw that many people have reported noisy sunroofs, but nothing about crooked sunroofs. Wondering if dealers are addressing this without question.

That is certainly neither normal nor acceptable.
In the closed position, a sunroof panel should be level with the surrounding roof panel and the perimeter gap should be even.
From the reports we get on the forum, the XF certainly seems to have many more sunroof issues than earlier models.

The dealer is saying that they aren't able to adjust it, and the sunroof assembly needs to be replaced outright, which requires parts to be ordered, and a multi-day stay once the parts arrive. Does that sound right? Guess i'm a little surprised at how involved they're saying the repair is, and how long my car would be out of action. Maybe i'm overly concerned, but I'm always wary of parts being disassembled (ie the headliner), as reassembling it rarely works out in your favor with respect to future squeaks/rattles.
Does anyone that has more familiarity with the sunroof mechanism know how easy or difficult it should be for the dealer to "realign" the sunroof without having to replace the entire thing?

Had the same thing happen on my benzo. Sunroof are a PITA to repair. Yes, you are right they will need to take out your headliner and disassemble the whole thing to fix that. But why worry about the downtime. Most dealerships will give you a loaner car, and if there are any issues after the repair, just take it back to get it fixed.
