Default Supercharger rebuild question, alignment pins bent (pics)

I bought a used supercharger form a 44K 3.0 car. I figure I can do a rebuild ( and maybe a port) while changing the snout and coupler. It also will help me stretch the work out for when I am not busy.

It came as described but was pretty banged up, poorly packed.

Not sure its worth sending back but I want an opinion regarding what I think are the positioning pins ( based on what I have read here) that look bent. I included a picture just to ask and be sure.

I know these are very tight (on purpose I imagine) I can likely round out the pipe using a tapered dowel and, it looks quite soft.I can use a micrometer to make sure they are in round.

My other thought is just to cut it to below the bend figuring there is enough there to align and seat the SC

Question is, any thoughts on whether its worth the effort or just use the one on my car after I pull it.

I'd hammer a stepped drill bit into it to straighten it out.

Thanks, my thought as well. So they are just the alignment pins? Then I am good, they only need to be snug so als long as the lower say 1/2 are good whdoul be fine. I can play with it, Th seller opffered to take it back but for 150 I figured I could rebuild and sell myself later

Yes, they're only for alignment. You'll be fine to just straighten it out.

Ok, again, does anyone have any idea how much boost these things produce?

I have the 3.0 so this uses the TVS 1320 cc of air per revolution I shared this before. Pressure Ratio (in Bar) According to this graph at max efficiency (73% of flow) is 1.8 Bar 14.5 (atmospheric pressure) (1.8*14.5)-14.5=11.6 psi

1.9 Bar at 72% = 13 psi.

Efficiency drops off from there

2.3 bar 23.4 psi.

In other words you are making more boost pressure but moving less air as a factor of boost.
23.4 PSI=2.3 Bar = 900 cu-meter/hr @12,000 rpm (rotor speed)
13 PSI = 1.9 Bar = 1175 cu-meter/hr@14,750 rpm
13 PSI= 1.9 Bar = 1000 cu-meter/hr@13,000 rpm
13 PSI= 1.9 Bar = 900 cu-meter/hr@12,000 rpm
1.9 Bar = 1180 cu-meter @14,800 rpm
1.8 Bar= 900 cu-meter/hr@12,000 rpm

So the SC is capable of more than 23 PSI but flow no more air ( and would get WAY hot, reducing flow more ( hot air is less volume O2.)

So the answer to your question is more that 23.PSI but a total waste of time. (max rated rotor speed of the TVS is 18,000 rpm)

13 PSi is the sweet spot.

Here is the TVS 1900 You can do the calculations, I don;lt care since i have the 3.0.
by eye it looks like:

1.85 1350@12,000 vs 1450@13,000
vs
2.05= 1300@12000
