Default Supercharger whine or lack there of

How do we get our xfr's to have supercharger whine. I love that sound and would love my jag to whine lol. It's supercharger is way to quiet. I'm sure something can be done to wake it up.

Some have said that removing the hood insulation can wake it up a bit.

And all that money Eaton spends to make it quiet. Wasted on some.

There is apparently ducting to the inside of the dashboard which opens under full throttle just for customers like you. Maybe your dealer can open it permanently.

The only way to get the whine is with a new intake tract. You can add a hot air intake and you will hear lots of whine, but it will cost you a tad bit of power. I went through this many times already and have just left it alone as the stock MAFs run out of spec. I added a custom twin cold intake and the whine was great but at idle the car would stall after a hard or moderate speed was just done. Sucked stalling at a stop sign randomly.

Previously I had tried to increase the whine.

If you look under the hood, at the air intakes, in the center there is a "C" looking thing attached to the pipes.... if you remove this, itll bring out most of the whining sound.

How did you remove them? Cut them off and tape up the left over holes?

I love the whine as long as it comes from the engine compartment and not the passenger seat.

.. as Blackcoog asks, how do we remove these "C" lookin things? and, what are they?

They are there to cancel intake noise. Most cars have them. They are sized so the sound waves cancel out.

You could cut them off flush and then get a silicone coupler in black and cut it and then wrap it over the hole and glue it in place. The finish will look like stock and if you use an epoxy it will hold forever.
Not sure how much whine deleting those resonators will give but It is worth a shot for at least some sound.
