I started this same kind of thread for my Porsche and was very surprised on some of the things that I and others learned. Let's see what we have!

The head restraint height can be adjusted by pulling vertically up/down on the seat-back angle adjustment button/lever on the side of the seat. Took me ages to realise this.

unfortunately the XF doesnt have any easter eggs or little secret tricks.

what I do know is that the glove box sensor requires a finger of normal human body temperature to operate. My hands are always cold, and would never open, i had to sit on my finger for a few minutes to warm it up.

They switched it to a normal button in the newer XF's. There must have been complaints about it.

Since my fingers are a little too big for this (and most are), I just use my fingernail only and works every time.

The front side windows are water repellent.

When the lights are on AUTO, the high beams will turn on whenever is dark. If it senses a car coming or street lights, it turns off.

They headlamps also turn as the steering wheel turns.

As for the last one, there actually is no turning with the steering, however there is a self-leveling feature for some models.

Executive is right, The 2012-> XF's offer an "Active Lighting" system as an option. It actually does turn or bend the light in response to turns. Also, they do have an auto dimming feature available for the high beams.

Ohhhh...... I must have missed the part in 'fljag's original post that referred to talking about the specific year or trim level that chuckh007 has. Executive obviously was referring to a "option" on his particular XF. So it seems now, his post fit very well with the OP "Things You Didn't Know About XF's and XFR's "

Axil,

Thank you very much! It seems some people were never told to measure twice and cut once.

HEADLIGHTS WITH INTELLIGENCE
Standard bi-function HID xenon headlights are available with Adaptive Technology, directing the beam to bend in the direction of the steering. The Intelligent High Beam option automatically switches between high- and low-beam to adjust to oncoming or preceding traffic. Headlight washers are standard on all models

Wrong again... I have this on my 2010

Did not know -
TPMS does not measure for the correct pressure, it looks for the same rotation per min which would be a function of all tires being within the same +/- 2psi of eachother

Also for those with the RF glove box, temp does not matter, angle does. The sensor broadcasts a low intensity RF cone directly outwards. If you approach it from straight on it will open 99% of the time. From an angle or sliding from the side like you would as a driver and it won't open.
