Thinking of getting a XF

I own a XK8 (pretty much a garage queen) and am thinking of picking up a XF as a second car. My inclination is to find a 5.0 NA car. The other option would be the 3.0 SC version. This car would be driven about 6K miles a year. My feeling is the SC engine with more complexity means more problems. I do most repairs and maintenance on the XK. Any personal experience is appreciated.

Do you want AWD, then it's a 3.0SC. Do you want something newer than 2013 then it's either 5.0SC or 3.0SC.
Ya, I cried when they stopped producing the 5.0 NA

I bought a low mileage--26k miles-- 2012 XF Portfolio last October. I do all my own maintenance, except for tires and alignment although having reached 77years I don't know how much longer I will be able to do that. I also have JLR diagnostic gear. My intended use is as a summer driver and winter storage. I looked at a 2011 XJR with about 72k miles and was tempted but when I looked at the maintenance history , 3 water pumps ,1 PCM, brakes twice etc etc, I decided against it. I have just started driving it after checking it all out over the winter. It is an obvious road rocket compared to my 2004 Vanden Plas and I think it will be easy to get speeding tickets without the supercharger.
On the other hand it is more complicated than the VDP, uses more fuel and will be more expensive in parts I think, particularly around the engine and electronics. On the other hand suspension is easier, just like the S-Type I once owned.
I am happy with it so far----the biggest issue so far is whether or not to keep my VDP!!
Oh yes since you are in Florida I would go for 2012 5.0L NA---forget the AWD and supercharger and spend the money on stickie tires!!!
