Default Thinking of Purchasing an XF

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2009-2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged with the 5.0 liter V8. I wanna know some downsides and problems with this generation of XF i know there should be a lot as its the first gen model. And is it reliable without a warranty?
Thank you.

(5.0L S/C was 2010+, the 09 is the 4.2L)

Early water pumps went bad, there is an updated part # that should be more reliable. I bought my car with a leaky pump and replaced it (around 75k miles).

Early dashboard leather would pull back, due to not having staples in the dash. Minor cosmetic issue, but very common.

Finicky TPMS system.

That's all I can think of as far as widespread issues. Otherwise they seem pretty reliable.

For the transmission, they say in the manual (I think) that it has "lifetime" fluid. It's not. ZF recommends changing it around 60k I believe. Also get a new transmission pan when you do the fluid change since the trans filter is built into the pan.

Other than that I don't think there are any major issues with the transmission. Not that I've seen.

I'm overdue for a newer daily driver too, but was leaning toward newer facelift models, like 2014-2015 (although the gearhead in me would kind of like a 2012, the last year of the 5.0 n/a and the first year of the facelift if a very low mileage one showed up). Drove a 2016 and a 2013 back to back and liked the 250 better than the 260. Had read about the dash issue and was wondering did they fix that in the later years?

I know there were differential issues with early XFR's but can't remember if the supercharged has the same e-diff. There is a VIN range that was affected.

My 2013 had the dash issue. There seems to be a lot less facelifts with dash leather issues but it may just be a matter of time.
