Thinking of selling the family Jeep and buying a 2015 XF...
Everyone,
I'm thinking of selling our 2011 Jeep GC and replacing it with a pre-owned certified 2015 XF within the next few months.
In researching the vehicle on various web sites and driving a newer model, it seems to be a great replacement. Although I haven't had the pleasure of driving a 2015 yet, the 2017 we drove was interesting except for one thing. It didn't look or feel like a Jag from the interior. The 2015's seems more like the previous Jags we've owned with wood trim, etc.
Can previous or current 2015 XF owners let us know the pros and cons of this vehicle?
Thanks a million.

I am a first time Jag owner, purchased a 2015 in April this year and absolutely love it. Mine was literally owned by an older couple that after a few Months of ownership traded it in for a land rover. The car had all of 3500 miles. Rides like a dream, its the 3.0 AWD / SC Portfolio, plenty fast enough for me.
To my eye, the X250 body (the last year before the remake in 2016) has gorgeous lines. I like much it much better than the 2016 MY. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say.
The only con's in my few Months of ownership, does not have the same level of bells and whistles as the German counterparts. Back seat space is OK, but I would imagine a Jeep might be more spacious? Navigation and infotainment screen are a bit outdated but functionally all work fine. Overall love the car and would highly recommend.

Thank you for your report Mark.
You sound very pleased with your "XF". I have to agree that the 2015 lines are better than the 2016. The interior of the 2015 seems more classic and "Jag like" with wood trim, etc. It seems like someone went through a lot of trouble "Modernizing" the interior especially the dashboard and center console.
Speaking of the interior, I read a couple of comments about the GPS and how complicated it is to use and to see while driving. Have you experienced any problems with this?
Again, thanks for your comments.

I have not had any usability issues with the GPS, fairly straight forward to enter destinations and seems to be accurate getting to where I want to go. I find the visibility of the screen good in both day and night settings. I set the home menu shortcut button to "take me home", I use it often works like a charm.
Regarding the interior, I did find that in direct sunlight, the glare off the chrome top of the gear selector was blinding! Remedied that by buying a very nice black leaper "topper" from a fellow on line. Looks great and no more glare. There are all sorts of cosmetic and functional goodies available. I got all weather floor mats, found a nice tray organizer that fits inside the center console and just installed a tasteful rear lip spoiler that adds just a tad more sportiness. I'm thinking of getting the aftermarket brake caliper covers, but have not locked and loaded on that decision yet.
Good luck with the hunt!
