Thoughts on Aftermarket Forged Wheels

So another update...
Dropped off the new wheels at my tire shop and it gave me an opportunity to pick up my stock wheels without the tires or sensors mounted.
I brought the stock wheels home, and weighed them...
Rear Wheels, see below photos:
Front Wheels, see photos:
So a quick comparison of bare wheels, leads me to believe that the for the rears, I have saved 12.6lbs per each rear corner. 24lbs - 36.6lbs = -12.6lbs
And for the front wheels, I have saved 8.4lbs per each front corner. 23.8lbs - 32.2lbs = -8.4lbs
So all four (4) corners translates to 42lbs in weight savings for the forged wheels vs stock.
The final test will be the new wheels and tires with TPMS and all mounted and comparing each wheel to what the stock wheels with mounted tires were.
So far I am very happy with perceived weight savings thus far.

This is the last update, regarding weights, and installation, I will eventually provide an update regarding driving impressions
Picked up all the wheels with tires and sensors mounted.
Weighed them...
Front Left, see below photos:
Front Left Stock wheel with tire and sensors installed was: 59.3 - That's a difference of 8.6 lbs for Front Left Corner
Rear Left, see photos:
Rear Left Stock wheel with tire and sensors installed was: 66.4 - That's a difference of 12.5 lbs for Rear Left Corner
Front Right, see photos:
Front Right Stock wheel with tire and sensors installed was: 59.2 - That's a difference of 8.5 lbs for Front Right Corner
Rear Right, see photos:
Rear Right Stock wheel with tire and sensors installed was: 66 - That's a difference of 12.5 lbs for Rear Right Corner
Again, confirming a total weight savings of 42+ lbs (42.1lbs to be exact).
In conjunction with the 2 piece rotors that brings total rotating un-sprung mass savings to 88 lbs.
Here are some photos of them finally installed. It's -20C (-4F), and snowing, so only took photos in my garage. Will have to update with photos, once I can actually get in the sun light.

I closely following this thread, great wheels! however i just weighted my semi forged 22 inch rims+ tyres (ultrac vorti giugiaro). front ones 9.5J 265/30/R22 tyres sensors+ air weights about 60lbs. R22 shoudl be much more heavier, and it did surpsised me. my old wheels (front 9J was non OEM already R20 with pretty light mihelins super sports it weighted 54lbs. I think Varunas are very heavy r20 rims (same as Jaguar Kasuga- very heavy rims, I could even feel that ) to begin with and the new ones are not very light. I think forged is more for protection not weight savings in this case. at least this was reason why i went semi forged for 22 inch.

Unfortunately we are in the dead of winter in Calgary, AB Canada, and I will not be driving the car till late April or early May (as it is in winter storage). So first impressions will have to wait a while (~70+ more days).

The specs that I listed in post #16, are how the wheels were ordered.
I didn't go too aggressive with the offsets, as stock wheels aren't too bad, they are definitely better than stock XFR wheels, but for the XFR-S, I wanted about 1/2" extra poke on all four corners (Actually since the wheels are 1/2" wider for all four corners, almost all that half inch goes towards pushing the further out, less 1.3mm in the front and less 0.4mm in the rear).
Actually "Robinus" a user on the forum, replied (in post #2), with a very useful link, for checking how different widths and offsets would work.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you! I was looking at the Robinus' link a little bit earlier and it was immensely helpful.
