Top speed in the mile

The XF-RS is electronically limited to 186 mph so I would guess around 175-180 mph in a mile, although you might be able to peg it if you're lucky.

Realistically speaking, I believe the XFR-S will be trapping around the same speeds as your run limitations. Being able to tick over 170mph in a standing mile is a huge feat and unfortunately, I don't think the XFR-S would be able to do that. Unless you're running with a tail wind, I can see a trap speed between 160mph and 170mph.

Check out what your tires are rated for? Y = 186 mph.

First pass sans license (me) is limited to 165MPH. Exceed it? Go home. Meet it or above 144 you can *request* a bump to a class B license and take it up to 199.
The RS as y'all have correctly stated is limited to 186 and it has (Y) Pirellis on it.
So the race computer has a top speed predicted (btw it nailed the qtr mile *exactly*). One of y'all is *close* to the computer prediction....keep the predictions coming.
Hint: I will have to request a *bump* unless my pooper gives out during a run. I've only *ever* been 143 in my life so I might STP.

I'll give you 155. I've done an indicated 155 in/on two and four wheels. With only a mile, and it being on a runway, it really shouldn't be that scary in the Jag. It really is a vault compared to the others I've experienced (97 SS Camaro, FZR1000, GT500 mentioned below)
I've had mine to 140 indicated in about a half mile on a fairly wide but somewhat bumpy two lane road with an 08 GT500 right next to me - no officer we weren't racing ;-). Given speedo error (I'm assuming they will have traps set up) that's only 130ish.
Even if the car is still pulling strong, it will be tough to get a lot more in the alloted distance simply because when going at that rate, you're covering soooo much ground every second and the air resistance multiplies at a ridiculous rates at those speeds.
BTW, does anyone know if an R-S will do the full 186? And if so, how long did it take on one of those big ovals to reach it? If it did make it, I'm sure the last 20-25 mph took a lot more distance than the initial 160-165.
At any rate, go have a lot of fun, be safe, but please don't be a *****. Nothing's worse than having fear stop you from doing something that really is pretty safe, especially in the closed environment of that event. Make us proud!
Oh, forgot to ask what did it do in the quarter? I'm making very similar power so I'm curious.

Air density, head winds, temps show up to 4mph variation. Sims are showing > 165 right now.

That's pretty much what I expected. Good to know I haven't been overselling what my car can do. How are you launching the car ie what TC setting and at what RPM?
#15
Bone stock. Dynamic sport. No burn out. No tc loading. Just gun it at the 3rd yellow I suspect I can pick up a 10th with some abuse

Just so I'm not mistaken, you leave it in regular DSC and not Trac-DSC? If you are that's probably at least a tenth. In Trac-DSC you will get a little chirping but less power is cut at launch.

Trac dsc and off are overpowering the Pirellis so I left it full on. Would like to experiment more one day but it was a competition day when I went so I played it safe.

I did about 135 mph in an XF Diesel on the Autobahn. 155 mph is not hard, after that it gets hairy, every additional 10 mph feels like doubling the speed.
