Torque Specifications for Engine Rebuild
Hi
this is my first post here and I joined after recommendation of one of the members in UK forum. It’s a long story but My car had a rod knock and turned out to be only one big end rod bearing spun. I think it is beyond the stage that could be sanded so I am going to take the crank out for regrinding. But I am stuck because I couldn’t find torque settings for 3.0D engines. Slightly smaller version of this engine was used even in a S type 2.7D but I could not find anything about disassembly and assembly of them. All workshop manual I found for XF, S-type, XJ and Discoveries are missing that section for this engine. I can find it for 2, 2.2 and 2.5 Puma engines but not for Lion V6.
I would greatly appreciate any help to find the settings.
Cheers

I have the Jaguar Workshop Manual for the X250 3.0D but it does not include torque settings for the crankshaft mains or con rods. The engine procedures are limited to top end for which it does give the relevant torque settings. The only botton end procedures detailed are oil pan and oil pump removal/replacement.
There may be a printed Engine Repair Manual but technical information for recent models is generally all on Jaguar TOPIx.

Access is by account (individuals can register) and subscription but you could easily downlaod the required information within a one hour time purchase.

Torque specifications 3.0 xf
I could finally find them. If any one needs it PM me. Just finished my engine rebuild! Car is running! Couldn’t believe I will finish it ever. I changed one con rod, all bearings and turned crankshaft whiteout pulling the engine block mainly because I was single handed.

I've removed several posts by new members requesting information to be sent directly to them by PM or eMail.
We're not running a DATING website here - it's a FORUM. The idea is we exchange ideas and information openly in posts for the benefit of all.
If you'd taken the trouble to read the GUIDANCE in the link beneath my signature, you would know:
1. exactly why you cannot exchange PM's.
2. how to add large files to forum online storage
If you wish to contribute with either issues or resolutions in posts on the forum, you are welcome. If you wish to proceed in a private contact group, please go elsewhere.
