Any guidance on buying TPMS sensors for the XF? I will need 4x new sensors for a new set of wheels for the XF. Want to make sure I buy the right ones - and get a good price. Any thoughts on what to buy / where has good deals?
I have the 2010 XF Supercharged
My original sensors failed (went brittle) and replaced under warranty with a redesigned one. So would want to buy the redesigned one!
Thanks!

I would check with Tire Rack. Also, since a tire shop is going to have to install these and remount and rebalance your tires anyway, I would check with them. I'm sure they keep them in stock and know what they're doing. Make sure your wheels are balanced on a Hunter 9700 Road Force Balancer.

To work the TPMS measure and send temperature and pressure of air inside each tire. The ECU must combine those two sets of data to compare to an internal log of acceptable values. If the computed number falls more than 20% outside that range the fault light is displayed.
Since the data are there it is a shame it is not displayed but I suspect that's because most drivers would not be able to interpret the display correctly. Tire pressures go up a lot as the tire heats up and many drivers would think that was "too high" and let air out.
It is ironic that these devices are needed to protect drivers who don't understand how tire pressures work or even why they are so safety critical and so the correct and useful information needed by a sophisticated or knowledgable driver is deliberately withheld. Like idiot lights for overheating which are now universal again, even if you have a temperature "gauge" in your car (it doesn't "gauge" anything to avoid owner complaints, it is the equivalent of an idiot light which is one reason jaguar doesn't fit one, even though Land Rover does!).

I ordered mine off of carid.com for something around $45 a piece. I actually ordered these:
Oro-Tek? OSE-3004A - Jaguar XF 2009 TPMS Sensor
However, those were out of stock and they sent me different ones without asking me. Which I was not really happy with. These are the ones they sent me which have worked fine.
