Transmission Mount Replacement DIY
P/N C2D41711 WITHOUT AWD
You can order the rubber mount (C2D38505) separate from the entire crossmember but its only less then $20 difference for the non-AWD, I order my parts online from Land Leaping, a JLR dealer in Portland.
Symptoms were a vibration/drone at 1500-2000 rpm at low throttle high load situations in the pedals and a little in the steering.
The wood I used to support the transmission was 10x12, you must use something large enough to touch the edges of the plastic transmission pan otherwise damage can result.
The 4 bolts that go from the crossmember to chassis are 35 ft lbs, the two bolts that go from mount to transmission are 35 ft lbs, the 2 bolts that mount the rubber bushing to the crossmember are 40 ft lbs.
If you inspect your mount and you see the mount fully collapsed and touching the base it is due for replacement, mine was fully collapsed on the passenger side, driver side had a 1/16th gap. 2013 XF 74k miles.

Here are some pics of my mount (ZF8/XFR-S) It appears there was fluid coming from the mount. So either the mount has cracked/opened and leaked, OR....
I recently had the Rear O2 sensor replaced at the dealer under warranty. I am starting to wonder, if they used a torch or heat to remove the old sensor, maybe the heat/fire caused my mount to melt. Seems less likely but certainly possible.
I do have some rough shifting and on/off throttle symptoms, so I think my mount is worn regardless, but trying to confirm if the RS has a unique bushing or same as all the others.

Yeah you need a transmission mount, even without the leaking fluid, its completely collapsed and touching. There should be a gap there. You are going to notice a large difference in smoothness after replacement. Don't let it go too long or you can wear your motor mounts which are not easy to replace.

Yeah I noticed the lack of gap too. Today I ordered the full assembly (bracket & bushing) from my dealer. Similar to your purchase - there was only a $10 difference between the two, and the part appears to be the same for the XF and XFRS as they verified my vin.
I also have a seeping front pinion seal at the rear diff. I recently noticed it, and will get this addressed as well, but it's making me wonder - Maybe these two things are related? Extra vibration or slight change in pinion angle from the bad mount causing the seal to wear prematurely? I know pinion seal leaks are common on the JLR products, but it def has me thinking.
One more question for ya - what is your order of operations for getting the car on the four ramps? Back up on them then use a jack on each side via the reinforced pinch welds?

Also found my lower engine oil pan cover is leaking a bit. Looks to be just an RTV seal though, no gasket. Better add that to the list
