A tuturial would be very nice for the puley swap. I hear some pulleys (Mina) come with instructions and how to guide. Maybe somebody can scan it in and post it?

Please tell me more about this Viezu Tune your getting, I never heard of it?

I've heard the easiest way is to cut the old pulley off and get the centre of the new pulley red hot and push on. The new pulley is S/S

Contact Viezu - Car Tuning, Performance Engine Tuning, ECU Remapping / ECU Remaps is in England with dist. all over the world. I'm using them because they are local here in NZ. I think Viezu write many programs for different cars and then tuning shops put there name on the tune. May be wrong but I think the Paramount Performance tune was written by Viezu.

One of the Exec's at Viezu has an XFR with Tune and Pulley and is very happy with the result, which was another selling point for me.

You definately don't want to get a SS pulley red hot.
Send the wife out and pop it in the oven, you'll get a nice even heat and no damage.

Thanks, that makes sense. I will wait until I get proper intruction from Viezu or someone from here as some pulleys are alloy, some steel and some S/S.

You can use a puller to get it off but it needs to be a high quality puller. It sounds like it's on there pretty good.

You can look over this tutorial. The puller/install tool should work for the Jag. I know it's for a Cobra but the pulling and installing part should be relatively the same. The billet flow pulley setup would be ideal if they made something like that for the Jag. You could swap pulleys easier after you installed their adapter and had a few of their pulleys to try out.

Talking

A flame wrench will take that sucker off really fast. Putting a new one on - not so much.

Ok so cut it off, got new one hot and pushed on with welding gloves. All good. Will drive it a couple of weeks then put it on the dyno.

It might not matter to you but if you swap pulleys it will void your warranty. At least if you kept the old pulley intact you could put it back on if you had to bring it in for warranty service.

I had my budy look at it cause he has a GT500 and a 04 cobra. He has 2 pulley tools and he checked to see if they fit and they fit perfect. The old one should come off with ease long as the shaft is cold.
To put the new on on he lets the car sit over night and then puts the new pulley in a small toaster oven and then press it on with gloves. Nice and simple like the OP said above.

No issue for me as I have a aftermarket 3 year warranty that came with the car. Jaguar NZ will not offer a warranty on a non dealer imported car.
