1) A while ago, my driver side seat adjustment buttons stopped working so the dealership said they replaced a part to get that to work again. Recently I noticed that the memory recall does not automatically position the seats back into the memory position. I have to hold down "1" or "2" until the seat is back into its stored position. Anyone having this issue?
2) I noticed that when I lock the car either with the remote or double tapping the button on the door handle it does not beep anymore. Is that normal or necessary?

I am unsure about your 1st question but your 2nd question is a program issue if you want to call it that. I had the same issue and the dealer programed the car to beep when I locked her up by using the key fob. He also programed her to open and close the windows when holding down either the lock (close window) or unlock (open window) button on the key fob. Hope this helps.

I think you have to hold the memory button until the seat is in position. I cannot remember but I have at least one car that works this way.
As for the noise when the remote lock/unlock is activated this is a programmable option as, apparently, in some jurisdictions the car must not make a sound when the remote locks are operated.

That function I believe is called the global closing function, I has been de-activated in the system by the dealership even though it says it is enabled in the settings it won't work. I have asked the dealership to enable it but they refuse, saying that it is a liability issue and Jaguar N/A will not permit the dealership to change it. if that is the case how come XF owners in other states have it.

1) You cant do one touch on the drivers seat while in drive it's a safety feature. Only one touch on the seat memory works in park.
2) If it beeped before and doesn't beep now, chances are it is programed to "enabled" under (CCF) file. You could have an issue with the sounder, wiring, etc.....
