Hello All

Can anyone give some advice---- Was washing my 2009 Jaguar XF 3 litre engine when i decided to use a cloth and wash down the engine after i drove it that day i got restricted performance on the dash. water got down in where the spark plugs where so we changed ignition coils spark plugs dried it out and still we getting the same result car is fine when started and driving at a normal pace but once gas pedal is depressed and it is under load it starts to cackle and gets sluggish and does not pick up if this is done too much we get back the restricted performance message. car once reset will drive fine until you try to rev it pass 4000 or 4500 rpm then the problem shows itself again. anyone can help?

 

Wet coil? Wet connector? Wet wiring?

 

I suspect that or wet knock sensor wiring, or failing insulation on the KS. Any codes with your RP, sir?

No codes at all is given, it only cackles under pressure and does not perform at all, , , , you can depress the gas pedal all the way and the only struggles, if pressured too much it gives the Restricted performance message, then when we put it on the diagnostic machine it says bank # 2 misfire//////

 

Use a better diagnostic. It'll tell you more than that!
