Default Updated FW for the Meridian Sound System

Hello all,
I have the 800w Meridian Sound System and I was wondering if there's a firmware update available outside of taking it to Jaguar.
Thanks
Mark

firmware for the stereo or for the whole info-tainment unit?

you can update the GPS software yourself by buying the DVD. I think you can update the firmware yourself as well, but requires special software and flashing

Apart from updating the NAV with a more recent disk (and sometimes that’s just mapping data) you have to go to Jaguar dealer or indie shop with access to SDD to update modules. Unless you want to spend the $$$$ on the real diagnostic kit. Or buy the cheapo hacked clones from eBay and practice clenching your buttocks in anticipation of the car starting okay at the other end of the procedure ;-)

If he has a Meridian sound system his NAV will not use DVD's but is on a hard drive updateable via the USB jack.

It depends on what you're hoping a firmware upgrade will achieve, what's the reason behind the question?
