Default Upgraded or old or fake Water pump?

Looking a Water Pump for my 2013 XK 3.0 AWD.

Says brand new, but I am worried it is an older un-upgraded one. It is supposedly in original box with the correct part # for the current one but I've been scammed before where an old box was used to send a fake/old version item.

And if you're going to tell me to use an authorized seller yeah I know that, just wanted to see if this is an option.

So the seller took my $110 offer for the pump since I was skeptical. Someone else looks like the sniped the other 4, I just checked. I came back to report that you should offer $100 and am pretty sure he would have taken that..

Only thing is no warranty and with the pumps I'm not sure its a chance worth taking, but I'll post back and let you know once it gets here

Just because it doesn't say fomoco does that mean it's a new version of an authentic Jaguar water pump or could it mean it's some cheap knockoff that will fail in 2 months?

For a $100, I am thinking this is the lowest quality water pump money can buy. Since it's no picnic replacing the water pump, I wouldn't touch these pumps with a 10 foot pole.

Luckily I'm from the SHOW ME STATE otherwise i would think i have a personal troll.
Here's 1 straight from jaguar dealership parts dept. Notice it too does NOT SAY FOMOCO and has same casing identifications on the back. you do indeed have a genuine OEM WATER PUMP. But hey what do I know 🤔

That is some good proof. Very strange to sell an OEM pump for $100. Is it possible for the counterfeits to have the same markings? How hard is it for them to cast those markings while they are making the cast? Does counterfeit money have the same markings?

Could also be a rebuilt pump being sold as new. I don't do rebuilt pumps.

I tried to sell a set of 8 oem fuel injectors to a member here for $600 far less than i paid for them a few years ago. I was telling him what to do and linked him all the avail tools to buy to do the repair he wanted to diy spending my time. I mean i dont get paid to be here and it does cost me money when i dont fix whats behind me. Anyway he got back to me a couple weeks later and said he did the injectors and got them somewhere else but he still has issues with something new and could i help him...... Good luck buddy, $600 in my pocket is better than something sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Just like stocks. Ill sell a loser and put that money in something that gets a return or better return. My point is there are always reasons why good deals are out there
could it be a remanned? Maybe but i dont think so, i have yet to see cores on them.

They have the latest/greatest part number and they sure look factory?
Let us know how your install goes?

I have seen pumps with FoMoCo, Land Rover and no logo's on the casting. So there have been different ones sold.

The jlr pumps from the fatory always have the gaskets and bolts installed as you see. None of the others ive seen online do. And thats because the bolts/gaskets floating around in the box get damaged and i had one were 1 of the bolts was wedged inside the pump and couldnt get it out. It must have been a issue tyears ago because theyre all installed now as youre are.
