I had the same setup, ie w/o USB/IPod module. I managed to buy second hand
PAM (Portable Audio Module) and USB/Ipod console with (this is important) original cable and fiber optic (I paid for all ca $200). The module needs to be connected in MOST (Media Oriented System Transport) optical link between Bluetooth and Integrated Audio Module (below driver's seat). Now, having the module in the optical loop, you need to reprogram CCF (Car Configuration File) adding the module to XF system configuration (you need to tick one register on the CCF file), after CCF repro you need clear all trouble codes (there will be many when you open the optic look adding PAM in MOST). I recommend the CCF reporgramming should be done by experienced person using a good, stable tool (some Chinese programming tools can simply lock your car and ruin your pocket). After reprograming, you should see a new menu with USB and Ipod functions :-). I did it last year and it works perfect.

I have added the PAM and PIA and Most fibres etc as per post form Chrzesm. When I asked my local dealer to reprogram the CCF he didn't know how, when he aske Jaguar they said it couln't be done!. I have access to SDD and a VCM I think its v132 SDD does someone have the instructions on how to modify the CCF for the PAM/PIA as I won't have it long enough to mess about and learn how it works.
If not i will have to find an indepent repair shop near London who can but they do not advertize.
