For activating you'll need SDD software, OBD cable VCM or Mongoose/MongoosePRO

If i'm not mistaken, on a 2010 model this would only unlock the TV picture in motion, if your car has the optional TV receiver fitted.

On the later models >2013MY you can also watch video from a USB stick or DVD, in addition to TV.

Yeah! In 2010MY video signal could be taken only from TV module.

I have a 2012 XF Portfolio. What would unlocking this allow me to do? All I want to do is unlock video in Motion...Can I watch videos/movies via USB Stick if I format the movies in a manner which the Cat can read?

Thanks, and I apologize if I sound totally clueless about this topic, but its the truth (smile)....

If you have the Navigation, then you have the DVD player and USB video playback. For watching video from USB, you'll need unlock the Video playback from DIVx site and convert video files to .avi format with 720x576 resolution.

Thank you @08292!

When you say that I need to unlock the video playback from the DIVX site, does this require any special equipment? Is there a location I can access with directions?

I definitely understand the video conversion process .

Thanks again!

Thank you!

So, I go into the settings of the car, follow the instructions that you provided, get the code, go online, provide the code for activation, and I will then be allowed to play movies in the cat while moving using the format and specifications you provided earlier.

Am I correct or have I missed something....again, thank you so much!

These instruction only for activating video playback from USB drive. For activating Video in Motion function you'll need SDD software, VCM or Mongoose cable and internet connection with TeamViewer for distance activation.

@08292 - thanks again/understood.

Once the tools/software are obtained for activation of the video in motion function, are there directions or do I need to coordinate with someone to get it activated?

Thanks again!!

If you get all necessary components, the activation needs to be made by me or a few guys from this forum via TeamViewer.
