Default Vinyl wrapping trim and glovebox button?

Thinking about wrapping my interior wood trim with vinyl black and wondered if anybody already down that road how you tackled the touch switch for the glovebox ? Assuming you didn't happen to have a handy laser cutter in your garage to pattern cut with, what did you McGyver to give you a nice clean hole in the right place and allow the switch to work ?

Alternatively I am thinking of this set from CarID -

Remin® JRXF09B-SBlack - Black Main Dash Kit (11 Pcs)

Any opinions on one vs other ? Anybody used the Remin kit ?

Thanks!

Someone here (maybe Philhef?) said they just vinyled right over it since they knew where it was. Although I'm not sure if it was the old sensor button or the newer design. It would seem the old design would be easier to do this with.

I didn't know whether the button was contact or capacitance. Appears to be capacitance and still activated with a piece of vinyl over the top which was a pleasant surprise. Even more stealth mode :-)

Here's the black metallic wrap I am thinking of so far...

I like that look. I'm very critical of CF wraps because they never look like real CF. The brushed is a good blend of sport and class and should stay looking better than piano black does with fingerprints.

In my Ivory interior, I still prefer the stock dark oak wood. Makes it feel like a Jag to me. But I am getting old...

There must be something wrong with me as I've never really been very keen on the CF look. I'd be happy with the dark oak of the XFR except that a couple of the door trims have scratches which have so far resisted filling or removing and replacements are as common as rocking horse poo and about as cheap. I've tried a matt black and I have a sample of a gloss black on the way but I think the brushed look has won me over. Sport and class, well said sir!
