Walked a CTSV this weekend, the XFR was my right choice!
On my way back from Vegas this weekend, trying to keep the speed down since the AVERAGE ticketed speed on I15 between CA an NV is 90 mph, and between Victorville and Barstow is 4 lanes and 32 mi of the BEST concrete CalTrans has ever laid , but the CHP knows this too. I see this Black CTSV wagon coming up mean behind me, I know its rated at 556hp, but what the hell, I press the button and get the checkerd flag lit, My girl say's "I knew you would", yep IT's ON! As he goes around I mat Higgins, he pulls 1/2 a fender on me before I reel him in and start walking him, I pull about 2 car lengths on him and we run up on traffic and I back off. He jumps in front of me, traffic opens up and he nails it, I nail it and proceed to reel him in, go around him and pull 5 cars on him hitting 160 mph. I hit the emergency flashers (=Racing is done for me) as he comes by on my side his girl gives me the thumbs up. Yep, the XFR was the right choice for me!

LOL early Sunday morning on I15 there is minimal traffic and if your going less then 90 mph you will get run over, hell the semi's do 70 mph. Imagine This with less cars, NO trucks and few CHP, that's Sunday early morning on most So CaLi fwys.

I would totally relate to you if it were during the night time or early in the morning where there isn't any car around.

I mostly use ALL power of my XF(I wish it had better LSD and manual gearbox, I already managed to kill my gearbox torgue converter because quick stand accelerations) We have speed limits in town around 40mph and I almost never exceed it.
V8 supercharged is not about the speed, its about eforless driving. People driving modern 9speed 2liter double turbo direct injection petrol engines with 380HP@7500RPM will never understand joy of having low torgue.
They also will never understand what is smooth non vibration performance of V8+ engines. They are happy with their small, triple turbo, direct injection, diesel like sound petrol engines which lasts 100 000miles or so.

They had been doing construction there for some time and there were only two lanes and a temporary concrete divider was right against the edge of the number one lane. The right lane was occupied by a truck going about 35 mph that my friend in the truck wanted to pass. So no exit to the left, even shorter closing distance in the right lane, so my option was to stand on it and hope the Nissan engineers had done a good job. Finally equalized speed at about 10 feet from him with all the accompanying noises and pulsing brake sensations. All I have to say is if I had a piece of coal up my *** at the time, I'd have a diamond now
I don't trust anyone to do what they're supposed to do on that road anymore. Fool me once...

Yeah track days are fun. Especially on a motorcycle which is a fair bit quicker than your average Jag. Hanging off and getting your knee down at 200kph is a buzz you can't really get on the road safely.
Still, there's something extra challenging about going fast on the road, (right place and time of course) that leaves a closed circuit for dead in my opinion.
Track days are great practice for driving the road well.
