Default Well, that's just great......

I just finished the entire $1000+ cooling pipe/hose/pump etc replacement on my wife's 2011 XF, and she comes to me today and says there's a strange noise coming from the engine. I listen to it, and on acceleration there's a definite chain slapping noise. Fantastic............sounds like the miserable timing chain tensioner issue. What a joke Jaguar is, a full replacement of cooling system parts and now timing chains and tensioners at 50K miles!
I am not looking forwards to doing this job .....or even removing half the damn pipes and hoses I just replaced! Ugh......

Well that stinks....Just got my '15 XF back from having the leaking thermostat replaced under warranty....I asked them why do you not create a coolant system refresh package? We both know that the car will have to be flat bedded back in two or three more times for more of the plastic failing...Ugh.I had them pull the blower back in March when they had to replace the rear coolant pipe and I paid extra to have the stuff under the blower done as well as the front coolant pipe...It's only a matter of time.If it wasn't for the warranty I'd do the rest of it myself too.
