Went on a test drive

Hello gents, (and ladies)
I started the search for a replacement for the LS.
Today i took the 2010 E550 for a test drive and i wanted to pass over what i have garnered for the day. The reason i took the E class for a ride, mainly so i have something i could compare the XF to.
I am definitely going for an XF, that's out of the question.
Exetior - The new styling has really grown on me and the whole car looked very proportionate. I think they could have done a little better job with the rear end.
Interior - Talk about quality, even to the smallest detail. I have to say, i was blown away. The gear shifter on the steering column is something i would have to get used to.
I had the chance to push the car around curves and the paddle shifters came in really handy. They were extremely responsive and the transmission would shift INSTANTLY.
Drivability - It had enough power to nudge my head back into the seat, even with 3 other people in the car. It obsorbed the bumps well. Overall very smooth ride. I have to say though, handling wise, my LS would hold it's own against the E550.

Now, about the Jag, by the time i got to the dealership, there were closing up. So, i am going to take the XF for a ride this weekend. Stay tuned....

Thanks for your input guys!
JJ, my only concern with the Jag is the motorized air vents. But, it still won't stop me from purchasing it. 2012 models look really sharp. I have already seen two of them on the road.
Regent, I agree with your statment. I am very fond of the styling on the W221 E class and they are growing on me more and more. The only thing is they are very popular around here....very!
I had planned on taking a XF for a drive tomorrow,(already spoke to the salesman) but it looks like our first snow might stop me from doing accomplishing that. I really hope the weather holds up, so i can finally get my butt into one of those gorgeous Jaguars.
Will keep you guys posted.

Walt, thank you for your input!
By the way, i want to update you guys on my test drive from yesterday.
British know how to do it right. The XF looks fantastic, handles phenominally and the luxury it carries, beats any BMW and Mercedes. There are no words in the dictionary that i could use to describe how impressed i was by the XF. After driving the XF, i will never look back at the E class or any Silverstar for that matter.
I drove the 2011 withe NA 5 liter engine. My favorite part of the whole drive was the baritone engine growl from the second my fingers pressed on the START ENGINE botton up to redline.
I was also blown away by the stopping power it had. Overall, the car suits my character a lot more than the Benz did. E class is not as nimble as the XF and just too mushy for my taste.
All i have to say, i am sold on the car. I have to try to get rid of the LS first, but i will be joining the XF pack very soon.
