Hi, I have this code on my jaguar xf 09 v8 supercharged.
at first the check engine light came on and I pull this code at p0174
but I haven't found any vacuum line leaks, no bad MAF sensors, I don't think it's the oxygen sensors either. the next day, the check engine light was off.
I run the car for days, than the check engine light is back on but this time I pulled this code p2099 catalyst fuel trim system too rich bank 2.
does anyone have experience this on his jaguar and have been able to fix it ??
HELP !!!!

This is the Jaguar DTC listing for P0174 and P2099 on the 2009MY.

With the 7-digit DTC's now in use, the final '00' on both of these codes shows no additional information would be available through the dealer SDD and a generic 5-digit scantool is adequate.
A number of potential leak locations are given together with the possibility of a harness fault contributing to the codes.
A concern is the mention of 'warranty' on the post catalyst HO2 sensor suggesting this could be a known failure.

I didn't find it the way it looks in post #2. I extracted the appropriate info for the two codes from the Service Manual.
Back in the days of JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System), the DTC listings were available as a full list PDF which was a very convenient way of looking up the error codes.
Now that Jaguar used SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics), this type of full list isn't available for models after 2006 or if it is, I haven't been able to find it.
It makes me think that going through the Service Manual and putting a full list together in the style of post #2 could be very useful.

A Jag tech reported that the 09 SC is known for having a issue with the O-ring behind a brass fitting for the brake booster pipe where it goes into the elbow before the SC under the throttle body.

John,
I found a lot spread across the Service Manual when I was looking for the details on P2099.
There's no sequential logic to the way they are listed and it would be a lot of work to pull them all out and create a complete numerical list like the DTC PDF's in JTIS.
However, I think it would be a very useful document for the FAQ's. I don't want to start from scratch or duplicate anything you are doing if you've already got a listing like this in progress.........?
