What type of coolant to put into a 2009 Jaguar XF 2.7D?
Hello there,
I hope someone reading this post will be able to help.
I would like to flush the coolant on my old new Jaguar XF. I would like to ensure that I will purchase the correct coolant for the vehicle and the particular model.
The handbook states that the coolant used should be: 50% mixture antifreeze of water and specification WSS M97B44-D (coloured ORANGE) Extended Life Coolant.
The problem with that is that when searching for WSS M97B44-D I can only find RED coolants such as this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143784177...3ABFBMhIKcpftf
The handbook stated orange. Would the red coolant be suitable? I cant find any ORANGE listed products. Would the red one not end up damaging the cooling system components over time?
I have checked the service history of the vehicle and Jaguar garage used this coolant: JLM209722 - JAGUAR ANTIFREEZE link:https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-JLM20...8aAjiXEALw_wcB
Would the Jaguar branded product be a better buy in terms of the quality of the product, please? Also, is there only ONE type of Jaguar branded coolant which would suit all Jaguar models regardless of age?
Also does someone knows how much coolant I should get. I can not find the relevant data. I read online that the capacity of the reservoir is 10 liters, can someone confirm that?
Sorry about the trivial question, I don't know too much about cars.
Best regards!

Thanks. This thread seems to confirm that the coolant you recommended is compatible with the jaguar XF 2009 Diesel: https://www.focusst.org/threads/moto...atives.150867/
