When can dealer give car Select Edition Warranty?

You would have to find a dealer willing to participate. Prices vary dealer to dealer. In essence, and Jag may have standards that discourage this, but, you would have to "sell" your car back to a dealer who would then go and do the certification check then resell it to you as a used car for more to cover the costs. The only "easy" way is to have leased your car from the get go then buy out the lease and have a dealer do the select check on it. You have to pay either way but as far as nailing down a cost, that is up to the dealer. Another alternative is to just get a high quality aftermarket warranty through a dealer. We use continental warranty and only offer the top of the line warranty ( i think its called Ultra Care) here at the Land Rover dealer. They cover nearly everything the Select edition will cover. No, i don't get a commission off them either.

The warranty on my 09 SC expires in 9 months. You are saying that the dealership may be willing to "buy" my Jaguar from me, apply the Select Edition certified warranty, and then "sell" the car back to me? If they can beat the current loan terms/interest rate I have on the vehicle that my be worth it!

The 2013 XF are supposed to have a 8spd and start/stop on the motor.
Your 09 XF while awesome to you has the smaller and in my opinion poorer quality 4.2l V8. Why not wait until the 2013's are on the lot and pick up a lease return or pre-owned 2010+ XF with the 5.0 and make it a certified select then?
Interest rates on 48 month loans are below 3% at credit unions
Interest rates on 60 month loans are below 4% at credit unions
It is a great time to buy a pre-owned Jag.
