Well candidly I didn't know this animal existed till about 10 minutes ago. After hours of changing out Xeon bulb and ballast along with tracing grounds ect, I was told that this might be an issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Sorry about the double post!! But note the second post I added a line regarding exciter possibly being considered the actual control modual. This is not clear to me. Are they one and the same?
Thanks,
2012 XF
Here you are. I could be wrong but I'm thinking it might be more a wire, connection or the central junction box as you have already tested to the opposite side and all is working, correct?
Quote from the Service Manual; "The xenon headlamp system is controlled by the CJB using a control module for each headlamp and an igniter. The control
modules and the igniters provide the regulated power supply required to illuminate the bulbs through their start-up phases of
operation."
Thanks K! OK, so this module I had originally considered the "exciter or ballast", and I had replaced it and yes, tested on other side. Confusing when parts houses show various images not always accurate. Darn, I was hopeful. that I had discovered my root source. Off to the dealer for diagnostic test.
Thanks again!
