Default Wow HP and Sound

Just recently added Mina exhaust and pulley upgrade and flashed the ECU with Evo. I have K&N filters on order . My 2009 XF Supercharged is a beast to be reckoned with and heads are always turning . With all this HP I just purchased a Quattro for the winter. Kitty will need to take the Winter off. Oh the Joy !

Evo? Is that short for something. Is there now a new company offering tunes? I am familiar with ETG, Eurocharged, RSC, Spires, and Paromount. How much?

I'm talking to Chris over at Mina about the pulley for my own '09 s/c. Did you do the install yourself? Impressions? Thanks in advance!

Tanman- I had my Speed shop T/T/M here on Long Island due the install as it was tricky for my regular shop. If your mechanical , you should be able to pull with a common ford puller but may have to remove the fan an possibly the radiator. He did put a cut in the eom pulley to remove. Impressions are awesome...my guesstimate without Dyno , I'm pushing about 485-490 BHP.

Thanks for the information. I don't know Phil, but I do know that Jerry over at Eurocharged has been very active and has done a ton of great work for the Mercedes (Benzworld and MBworld) guys. They do good work. I didn't realize they did the Jaguar tunes as well. I wish they were still in Plainfield, IL so I wouldn't have to remove the ECU and ship it.

No problem....they do very good work..the responsiveness is incredible . It was tough being without the Jag for a few days but well worth it. My Tech here said shipping to Houston was the way to go. Just order carbon fiber panels for side vents and Mina through in the emblem for the drive knob. Also 15mm wheel spacers are ordered. Good luck with your Jag

You have the 4.2L SC. It will not put out that amount of HP.

Put it on a dyno and see.

The 5.0L SC is a whole nother story!

I don't think the BHP stated is unreasonable...420hp base + Pulley&ECU tune of 50-70hp combined total (maybe 25-35hp each). He wasn't talking power at the wheels. Regardless, it's a decent increase at a modest price.

Thanks Tanman!...I understand Tbird6's point with no Dyno to prove it....but yeah ..T/T/M esitimate with 420 base and ECU Tune with Pully and Mina Exhaust 480-490.....65 HP with Tune and Pully alone...5-7 with Exhaust....again guesstimate until im done...and Dyno it!
Putting 15mm spacers on today....and K&N filters in a week.
Ill send a pic when done.

I'd love to see pics after your spacers are installed. I've got the K&Ns in now. Noting really noticeable as far as performance (wasn't expecting it to) , maybe a tad louder intake sound, but I've used them in all my vehicles for as long as I can remember. Make sure you tighten all the bolts in the air boxes evenly and securely. I missed one and it created a droning/whistling sound (like blowing over a bottle) on occasion at certain low idle rpm ranges until I tracked it down.

Spacers make a lot of difference on these cars. Did 15 mm on my XFR and it made it look "right".
