XF Passenger seat too low

Just bought a new XF PL but due to an unexpected illness have not been able to drive it now. However, my wife feels that the passenger seat is too low and upon my inspection I find that its much lower than the drivers seat.
Both the drivers and passenger seat have height adjustment and while the drivers side is great, the passenger seat on maximum height is some 2 inches lower than the drivers. Asked the local Jaguar dealership and they responded that the passenger seat is lower but ignore my request for any assistance to raise it .... thanks guys, you are so helpful!
Personally, I cannot believe its beyond the wit of man to 'add something' to the seat chassis to raise the seat so wondered if any of the membership have felt the same way and have arrived at a solution.
Any ideas guys.

I have heard quite a number of times comments about the XF not having enough headroom, but this is the first I've heard of it in essence having too much, LOL.
I know of at least one short person who had a local shop build some kind of platform to raise the height of the driver's seat of their 7 series, so I would imagine it would be possible to do the same thing on the XF...

Or maybe a portable seat cushion? That is a lot cheaper and easier solution. Unless you plan to own that car forever I would probably avoid permanently jacking up a seat. It could hurt the resale value.
My wife is short as hell and she has no issues in the passenger seat. You could also gently remind her to suck it up

Exactly. If I ran the dealership, I would probably fire any tech that did that. Harsh, yes. But the liability that adjusting any safety system creates, especially in a non-factory approved manner, is enormous.

Take it to one of the specialists garages in your area and they should be willing to give recommendations and do the work for you. Dealers are loathe to modify cars because of the liability and warranty issues involved. Look in any issue of Jaguar World or find a copy of the Jaguar Driver's Club magazine. They list specialists garages all over the UK, so you should be able to find one nearby. Best of luck.
