XF R (Navigation / DVD Blinking) water under seat - RESOLVED
Hi Guys,
I bought 2010 XFR supercharged it has several issues first and for most Im too worried, that the "Navigation / DVD screen is blinking" like ON and OFF 20 times in a minute no radio, CD, AUX, or any type of sound.
I will try to attach video of that.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks.

You mentioned you've had a lot of problems with it. What are they? They may be related, especially if they're electrical.
Does the system seem like it reboots or is it only the monitor shutting on and off?
Do the buttons or controls for the entertainment system respond at all? Do they light up when the headlights are on?
Have you checked your fuses?
Have you pulled codes?
This is why Will said dealer time. This is potentially very complicated and could come down to a bad ECU or fubared programming, which are well beyond my capabilities to diagnose (although some on the forum may be capable).

Thanks n8ertot,
It has three threats (1) TPMS (2) Adaptive Dynamic fault and (3rd) "Navigation / DVD screen is blinking" like ON and OFF it is trying to reboot with jaguar logo and then shuts off in 2-3 seconds, hard button works for heat and cool, vents go up and down but no audio sound.
I check all the wirings under the carpet, under the driver seat even remove the dashboard can't find any evidence of short circuit, wire damage or wet.
I check all the fuses they are all good, in luggage compartment there is 15A fuse when I pulled out and after about 5 min plug back-in i heard sound from the navigation CD-Rom trying to start as well and displayed on the scree appears "R" logo for about a minute then went back same blinking mode again,
I hook-up OBDII it shows two codes $7E8 and $7E9 don't know what is that mean.
Than I took it to the local mechanic he said he have vary advance computer can pull out any code from any car after two days he call me and say his computer would not show any code because jaguar have thier own code system.
So I brought the my jag home and now im looking OBD tool for the jaguar XFR.
Any help please!!!
thanks

I have an iCarsoft i930, works very well on my 2010 XFR, brings up all codes and allows you to check a wide range of things, see here: Jaguar Diagnostic Scanner Tool Reset Erase ABS Code Reader XJ XF XK F s x Type | eBay

Thanks guys for the replies,
Yesterday I pulled out the battery to check what type of voltage I got, it come up as: 12.74V, after 4 hrs 12.72V, after 8 hrs 12.69V, and after plug back into my jag it was 12.22V,
That means, it is not holding its constant charging even when it is open to air (with no load).
I talk to dealer to find the right battery by the VIN number his replied, they go by the VIN for the battery part, there are two different types of batteries for 2010 XFR, bring-in your original battery and we will match the same, cost will be around $250 to 280 CND.
Tomorrow I'll drive down to dealer and change the battery and see if it solve the issue for DVD / Navigation.

Bad news !!!
I change the battery (BRAND NEW) right from the JAGUAR dealer cost $270.00 plus tax and brand new air intake filters and Im doing oil change on this weekend spend almost $600.00.
But no difference, still doing same thing still blinking / On and Off about 20 times in minute.
Does anyone know what would be the next step???
any idea will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Check the last few pages of this thread:

Seems like you may be able to use a DVD image on comment #406 (page 21) to reset it. It's an active thread so you can post in it now or keep an eye for further help.

PROBLEM FIXED
Under the driver and passenger seat there are six modules under the carpet, seat heater, tire pressure, adaptive dynamics, radio connectivity, sat radio and bluetooth module as I completely remove the seats and completely removed the carpets I found above modules in there first I unplug seat heater module it was hot almost burning then I suddenly unplug the battery and unplug the all other modules pull them out open them and found ohh bad circuit cards seams like they were wet at one time because the way jaguar install those modules in there it is NOT a good place for that type of sensitive electronic parts, because this is the lowest point in the car in the winter wet and snow footing bring water moisture inside and water runs and sat in that perticular spot which can cause big problem and hard to diagnose this issue (since all the modules are interconnected).
Anyhow, order the used modules from ebay ensure part numbers are matches close enough cost around $500 including shipping, and clean the car vary nicely and dried out with hot air gun took me two days, install them in and plug the battery they start working absolutely fine except AM radio no sound but i can live with that there are some other news channels that I can listen all other problems are gone too like adaptive dynamics fault, tire pressure fault, DSC not available etc.
I will try to attach pictures if I find how.
Thanks again everyone for help me out.
