The hyper-powered estate market is a place with rules that are hard to undestand, as shown by the German carmakers’ rather random presence here. However, it seems that, in its expansion effort, Jaguar wants to tick this box, so the carmaker is currently testing the XFR-S Sportbrake.
The vehicle was recently being driven on the Nurburgring, with our spy photographers snapping the car. As you can see in the adjacent pictures, the Sportbrake will get the exterior mods of the XFR-S sedan, which means that we’ll get a nice blend of aggression and elegance. IT will be interesting to see what Jaguar designers do for the rear end of the car - the sedan ends with a wing.
The big treat will come from under the bonnet though, where we’ll find the 550 HP supercharged V8, which will work with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission.
